Link to The Changing Earth

In this lesson the students will be playing a review game which is similar to trivial pursuit. The teacher will be drawing a game board on the white board up front, and each group will have it's own color indicating where they are on the board. The teacher will be asking the students questions which they created in class the previous day as well as for homework. The questions will be broken up into different categories such as earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, history of the Earth, and miscellaneous. The students will be in groups of 5 and they will discuss as a team each answer before having one person answer the final answer to the teacher. The groups will be taking turns answering the questions and if a group answers a question wrong, then the next group will get a chance to answer that same question to move up a space on the game board. This is just a nice way to allow the students to have some fun while they are answering some review questions that will possibly be on the test. Having the students come up with the questions themselves is also another way of getting the students to think objectively because they will be predicting what kind of questions the teacher will be putting on the test.
